Tutorials by industry
Pick your industry, download the sample data, spend 15 minutes answering the questions your business actually faces.
The rest of the docs tell you what Tablize does. These tutorials show you how — inside your own industry, with realistic sample data you can download and load.
Every tutorial takes 15 minutes, uses free-plan features, and ends with at least one Report, Script, or Watch you’d actually keep in a real business.

How every tutorial is structured
Each tutorial has the same four beats so you can skim the one closest to your situation:
- Scenario — who you’re playing, what you’re trying to find out. 2-3 sentences.
- Download the data — one or more CSVs, realistic but small. Generated by a deterministic script, so everyone sees the same numbers.
- Steps 1–4 — each step is one Agent turn. Copy the prompt, paste it, see the answer, Keep what’s worth keeping.
- What you built — the assets you now have in your workspace, and what to try next.
What you need
- A free Tablize account (console.tablize.com).
- A modern browser (Chrome / Safari / Firefox — all fine).
- 15–30 minutes, depending on the tutorial.
No database setup, no SQL knowledge, no prior experience with Tablize required.
Sample data details
Every dataset is deterministic — we generate them from a fixed seed, so the Agent’s answers to the tutorial prompts will match what the tutorial describes. If you get different numbers, you probably downloaded a newer version of the data; re-read the tutorial’s “Expected answer” sections and you should see the same patterns.
The data is realistic but intentionally small — small enough to upload on the Free plan, big enough to show real analytical work (outliers, seasonality, multi-source joins). The e-commerce dataset, for example, includes a simulated “bad fulfillment batch” on a specific Tuesday — a realistic anomaly the Agent can find.
All datasets and the generators that produce them live at github.com/tablize-ai/docs-samples (coming soon) if you want to produce your own variations.
Next steps
Pick the industry closest to yours and click through. If nothing matches perfectly, E-commerce is the most general-purpose tutorial — it covers file upload, multi-source joins, Watches, and Dashboards in one pass, which is most of what you’ll do in any industry.
If you’re completely new to Tablize, read Quickstart first — it’s the 5-minute version that these tutorials build on.
